lets say you buy both and they fail @ 2 months...if you HDD fails with seagate you get the 5 year warr transfered, if you hdd fails with western digital your warranty expires and they send you a referb with a 6 month warr. so your 3 year = 8 months, then you're out of luck. seagate wins hand down always. all hdd fail.

#1, why did you link to a WD hd for $59 and represent that as the drive listed here? Did you really fail to notice that they're two different drives of two different sizes or were you promoting the WD as having 70 more GB for very little more money as #3 seems to think?
I'm with #3; give me a Seagate over a WD any day.
