#18, all you do is download the firmware update from phillips, burn to cd, pop it in player. Go to the website and it has a good rundown of what to do. Here ya are:

#18, sorry I posted a reply to your question yesterday, but I guess it didn't post (maybe cause I had a link to philips website?). Anywho, go to their website, click on "Product Support" from top navigation bar, Select "DVD and Home Theater", search for "DVP5982", select your model, [mine was the dvp5982/37b], click "software and drivers" to the left, and then it'll give you a rundown of what to do...
