Why can't it just be the "ultimate burning solution"?

IMO Nero has gone the way of Norton and McAfee, huge bloatware.

#1, cause it doesn't just burn.
#2, I agree. I like the older versions better.

Is the new one really not that good or what? I've got the old one and love it to death.

Bloat, baby! Still on Nero 6 here, see no reason to change.

Nero 6 is the bomb but won't work with vista.

8 is bloat with a bunch of license nonsense but works ok, just install the parts you need.

.And uncheck the update function if you got it off pirate bay.

I have 7 and it's pretty bloated already. I probably use about 10% of it. And no, I don't want ti to associate it's applications with every media type on my hard drive!

For just burning CDs on XP, nothing can beat BurnAtOnce. It's free, small, and works. Sadly, it doesn't work on Vista.

For vista, google for Nero Lite....
