I hate rebates but this is the first decent HD radio deal I've seen. Anyone know of a better one?

Radio Shack seemed to be blowing out the Accurian table top HD radios about a month ago. Might check your local Shack to see if they have any. As I recall they were about $100 without a rebate. Not quite the same quality as the Sangean, but I own one of the Accurians and am pleased with it. Also might be able to find some of the Boston Accoustic Receptor HDs cheap. They've discontinued them, so in theory shold be being blown out as well. Those are the only 3 table top models I'm familiar with. Glad you care about HD Radio!

Why listen to HD on a little radio. I am looking for an HD receiver to hook up to a stereo, if one exists. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks for the mature suggestions. I'm just looking for something for work downtown where radio reception is poor. I've got a ton of stuff running at once so internet radio is just another system hog and I want local content sometimes. I think I'll call a couple radio shacks and google the BA model.

I bought the Cambridge Soundworks 820HD. The first one that arrived had a DOA display. The second one has worked fine. I had to add a Terk Advantage AM antenna to pull in any AM HD stations. FM HD is much easier to receive.

There are also some companies making HD Surround sound receivers if that's what you're looking for. They're mighty pricey though. I think Yamaha makes one. I have a Accurian at home, and we have several Boston's at work here. They both have a headphone out (which with an atapter can easily become RCAs to hook into a seperate amp). Ben just posted a sony http://bensbargains.net/deal/70894/ for $50 after rebate. I have no experience with this radio, but might get one just for testing.
