Got the card back in February and was finally able to (recently) purchase an 80GB. The $100 rebate was automatically applied to my card a few days after purchase.

Just hope you don't have to deal with them on the phone. I worked with 3 different managers got different answers from each of them on things; got a total runaround.

If you're looking for an 80GB, they'll tell you to check everyday at 3am (Eastern). However, I found mine in stock around 4:30pm.

If you by a HDTV from BestBuy, you can get $100 of BluRay player including a PS3. Then, return the TV and you still get the player for $299.

Yeah, let's go lugging a huge HDTV around (twice) to get the discount. Call me crazy, but I'm thinking five minutes on an online application just might be a tad easier.

If you do the Buy/Return from BB and Use a Sony Card, are you still eligibile for BOTH?

Hell, at $199 for a brand new PS3, I'd do it.

Good luck with that. When you return the HDTV to Bst Buy they will subtract the $100 from the amount they refund on the TV.

I think applying for another credit card is a bigger pain in the butt.

The 100 credit works for eligible stores like sonystores. bestbuy, walmart etcs..
Just check the sony card ps3 promotion link.
I got my MGS4 80GB PS3 for 499-100-100=299+tax from sony credit and 100 walmart gift card last month, love it!

The 40 gig sucks. You should buy this 40 gig and buy an 80 gig elsewhere and swap and return the 40 gig in place of the 80 version.

Ha ha, pretty cool greenmonde. I wonder if they check the box when you return it or not.

#14, there are two different offers. One has to be at SonyStyle, the other can be at any authorized retailer. Check the Blu-Ray deals threat at AVSforums for details....
