Verizon has a few nice phones coming out (like the Dare) but they are all almost 3/4" thick. + the fact that none have WiFi ability makes me look at the new iPhone even more for when my current Verizon contract is up.

Also, read the fine print for broadband usage.. it is not exactly "unlimited" as they state:

"If your usage on a Data Plan or Feature that does not include a specific monthly Megabyte allowance or that is not billed on a pay–as–you–use basis exceeds 5 Gigabytes per account line during any billing period, we reserve the right to reduce throughput speed to a maximum of approximately 200 Kilobits per second for up to thirty days."

Well let's face it, the iPhone 3G is, without question, the best phone ever made in the entire history of the Universe. We're already working on the next generation iPhone, and it's just going to get even better and better. *smirk*

Well, when you have 3/4 of a billion $$$ for R&D....

this phone sucks the "touch screen" bearly passes as one.

If the iPhone was available on ALL Networks
THEN it would be the best phone on the planet

The price is getting better, but I wont bite till they offer the same with a 1-yr contract instead of 2.

Be aware it is for NEW service only. If you are just looking to upgrade and renew your plan it may not apply, but you can try to complain and see how that goes. Data plan is kinda shitty unless you pay the $15 a month for the unlimted plan, otherwise it is 1.99 a mb so if you accidentally his a button you get charged 1.99 a month.. fun.

The touch screen was updated about 3 months ago to correct the initial problems. I use a glyde and it has some issues, but is a decent phone for my use. Same cost as voyager but smaller. There is a firmware upgrade that is due out soon for it too.
