Does it mean the lcd is chopped off on the left and right, thus chopping off your pictures? You're guess is as good as mine.

I've seen the Philips 7" frames and the image quality is excellent. Similar to that one, this one comes with batteries. However, $120 for a discontinued, refurbished frame seems kind of steep.

I looked at this frame but I went with the Portable USA digital frame instead. That has been great.

I have a Philips 7" digital frame and it is nice, however it will randomly go black on me when doing a slideshow. Sometimes after 5 minutes of photos, sometime after 2 hours. I thought it might be the photo format (baseline vs. progressive), but it appears to be completely random. Don't know, but be forwarned.
