#3 - I have this and it's pretty good for a bookshelf system (better than that Sony POS that's been on here forever). I got it @ BB for $169 + tax about 6 mos ago though.

I have the earlier 1080i version as a bedroom sytem. Works great. My only complaint is how long it takes to open the drawer.

#4 - Put the stereo ON TOP of your dresser instead. Should solve the problem.
