Are these really any good? I mean, I'm not looking for B&L type quality for $8, but will they work for occasional use?

Got the Armored 20x30 version for $11 a few days ago from MeritLine. They seem fine. There was no problem with the focus that someone else mentioned. Good enough for occasional use like at football games etc. Also if you lose it, it's not that big a deal.

I ordered one and got here broken, which is weird considering that it came in its case.

My days of buying cheapo optic are over. I've learned that buying crap and then replacing that with something a bit less crappy and then replacing it with not quite as crappy, and then finally buying quality optics isn't any bargain. Now I just skip to the end and avoid the frustration and get the good stuff when it goes on sale.

I bought these on the last round from Meritline - not worth it. The pair I bought the rectifying prism was rattling around in one of the tubes. Even after the fix there were terrible - when something on-axis was in focus the things off-axis were out of focus and vice versa. There was a lot of chromatic abberation too. Total junk.
I have a different pair I bought ~$15 and they are three steps up from this...

the unit fell apart literally on arrival within 10 mins (g armor body came apart from rest of plastic body, lens out of focus permanently, orange lens coating is fake tint, etc.). I'm surprised such quality product is sold by Meritline.
