    I would like to apply for this card but would first like to know what credit score is required. I called Amex and they said they don't go by scores but overall history? According to a few websites online they say that a "Excellent" score 750 or higher is required for this card. Anyone care to share an estimate of their credit score if they applied and were approved for this card? Thank you in advance replacement.

    this gives 5% only if your spending is more than $6500 a yr, 1% otherwise.
