My grandpa loves aerosmith.

Couldnt they get a more relevant band? Or even a more 'Guitar God' version? I guess Clapton wouldnt sell out. Give me a Jimi Hendrix version, or a Van Halen version, or even a Rush version.

I admit, I would rather a Neil Diamond version than the Aerosmith one.

I hope its got their top 40 ballads on it!

Joe Perry is a pretty darn accomplished guitar player. Not as flashy as some, but he holds his own with most of the legends. And despite the awesomeness of the other names thrown out there, Aerosmith managed to stay at the front of the rock scene through 4 decades now, appealing to a much larger audience, while Van Halen became a rock soap opera joke and Rush a cult band with no more mainstream clout. You've got to give some credit to that kind of staying power. There are a lot of great bands from Aerosmith's 1st period who now headline at casinos and county fairs.

Oh, and I saw Neil in concert a couple of years ago. He still rocks or pops or whatever it is he does so well. Been trying to see all of the oldies before they bite the dust like Mr. Mercury so stylishly sang and then did. Watched chubby Elton last year.

At least they didn't do a 3 Days Grace version, or some other lame new "modern rock" band to appeal to the kiddies.
