What DVR's are coming with ESATA? Dish are USB.. Seems spendy when you can get a 750gb drive for $100.

#1, Tivo series 3 and Tivo HD both have eSata and require this type of drive for expansion. Vanilla eSata drives will not work with a Tivo unless you mod it first.

Just picked up one of these from Amazon for $150 for a TivoHD. (Needed a 2nd reboot to recover from a hang after initial reboot, but installation was otherwise pretty straight forward.)
This is a good price if you want to add storage to a TivoHD w/o modding it.

just get a segate 500gb internal for like 75 and external enclosure for 25ish. you stil save 40 bucks while having longer warranty (5 years)
