Is this worth it for $280 or should I go with Westington House for $350? I usually not comfortable with unknown brands, but for if it works then i think it might be a nice setup. What do you guys think? Or should I just get the Dell 22" for $254?

#1 what Westinghouse is going for that price? If it's the l2410nm it might be worth it but it also has some problems. A lot of them have the screen door effect in the top right corner and have a loud buzzing sound.
I'd probably take this over the dell just because of the larger screen and higher resolution.

Seems as though tech equipment always goes down. I'm not in a dying rush to get this, but I guess my 20" LCD will have to suffice until I find a better deal on a nice monitor. Preferably one that has 3000:1 Constrast.

I have a pair of these, dual-head. 1000:1 is good enough for what I do.

I got it for 250 on bf as well. This monitor is perfect for office use. Ignore TN haters, they probably couldn't tell red from blue anyways, let alone 6-bit vs 8-bit color.

It's too bad Dell has a high end and a low end 24". They were getting pretty aggressive with the pricing on the good one before they came out with the cheap one.

#10, the diff b/w dell high and and low end is height adjustment and and swivel. that's it. the quality(res) is exactly the same.

I've had mine for almost a year. And I love it. Color is even, no dead pixels, good viewing angles, and so far no problems. SOYO has actually been around for a long time making motherboards. They had some good and bad motherboards. Thought I'd take a chance on this LCD and I'm glad I did.

Agree with #13 that I love mine, bought last August, working fine, beautiful picture. No frills but I like it just fine and saved money.

Soyo did a switch a while back and they switched from an MVA panel to a TN which is why I don't think this is that great of a deal anymore. Some people actually prefer TN LCDs due to their low response time so it's all preference.

Do Not Buy. This is no the same Panel. This is a cheap TN Panel. My friend had to return 4 Soyos and finally got the TN Panel and he states the color is not the same anymore. I have been very lucky I guess, I still have mine from black friday last year. Knock on wood, running good. Beware of quality!

Good Reading Guys.
Oh yeah! Btw, when looking at Contrast Ratio for LCD, there's a difference between Real or Static vs. Dynamic Contrast Ratios. When Manufacturer's state Contrast 2500:1 to 3000:1, they probably mean Dynamic. Which equates to be around 500:1 to 800:1 in Real Contrast Ratio. So don't always believe what they say.
Hopefully a 1000:1 listed on the specs would mean a Real Contrast Ratio. Just go to the store compare the difference for yourself.
