If you care about light, you will recognize that the fish can't tell, that there are better options. BUt, maybe not for $9 DELIVERED, half the cost is the shipping so if you just need cheapest thing possible then it's a deal.

I just ordered and mine went through, maybe you tried to order more than 1, which will result in a cancellation of your order.

The camo design sucks. I dropped mine in the woods one day and couldn't find it after looking for 30 min.

My unit of charged particles was denied because of being ordered in the backend. Out of stock!!! You must backorder this in order to receive this order! Damm order I want ONE WORLD ORDER AND I WILL HAVE IT because I'm a Citizen of the World!

edit. Deal is dead

We apologize but at this time we are unable to fill your order. Either the price of the item(s) you ordered was less than our backorder limit or you requested that we not backorder your merchandise. Therefore, your order has been cancelled.

My order was canceled as soon as I placed it. Perhaps because I chose the option that they could not send it later.. It could simply be oos.

Ok, after trying again, letting them back order it, I still got canceled.. I expect its a dead deal.

m.....for some reason it accepted mine with no problem and said it would be shipped immediately. Perhaps it is coming from the local store that is about 100 miles from me.

Deal still alive but on life support. Got this email...

"Thank you for ordering from Bass Pro.

We sincerely regret that the item(s) shown below have been backordered. We expect our stock to be replenished within the next 30 days. Your credit card will not be charged for these items until they have been shipped."

Still a good deal regardless.

I should mention I have the yellow version of this Vector light. Got it at PepBoys a year or two ago for about $4 after a rebate or maybe it was free.

Produces a fair amount of light for the money but I didn't like the short runtime even from the (then) new, fully charged, 6V (4A??) SLA battery inside. Realistically it's a 15 minute light unless you remember to recharge it within a couple months of use. At least it has that going for it, being SLA instead of NiMH it doesn't self discharge very fast but I was more interested in a floodlight for camping or home power outtages where you'd want longer runtime.

It is fairly sturdy and break resistant as described except the front *lens* is a flat non-focused piece of glass, maybe about 3mm thick which may break if it's dropped on a hard surface or the lens hits a rock, etc.

I ended up putting in a Cree XR-E LED and driver board from http://www.dealextreme.com , needing to slightly grind down the rear lip of the metal reflector to position the LED's star base, then I put a large O-ring between the top of the LED's base and the metal reflector to electrically isolate it.

A couple holes were drilled through the reflector about 3/4" away from the center through which bolts held a slim socket 7 heatsink against the LED die. That proved sufficient to cool it running at about 750mA giving the light several hours of runtime. It's now one of my favorite flashlights with the LED mod, though someday I will certainly break the glass lens and make a replacement polycarb lens for it.

It would've been nice if it had D sized ~ 10AH NiMH battery pack too but that would cost more than the resulting light would be worth.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the timing of doing the LED mod to mine. I'd been thinking about doing it for a w... [Truncated]
