You can't hack this to run rockbox. Stick with the 5.5 gen 80GB unless you like to do things the way jobby says you should do them.

is apple the only player nowadays with high capacity (30GB+) players for less than $250? creative & iriver have gone to all mini flash players. h340 til that kicked, and now a creative zen vision m: that is showing signs of wear and tear. who the hell else is going to make a player that can hold all of my rocking and rolling music?

If you can wait a couple of months, there are a lot of rumors that there will be a big iPod design refresh soon, possibly even late September. But otherwise this is a decent deal.
