I've got one installed in my computer and have no complaints.

I have two of these. I find them very good. They can get loud at full speed, but I have them connected via the 4-pin PWM cable so the mb regulates the speed. Now I can't hear them. The cooling is good, but it's not in the same league as water cooling #1.

i had h2o on my wife's system, it was a bit noisy but i lived with it. Then i picked up a Zalman 9700 from the last fry's anniversary sale and thought i try it out. It turned out to be about the same performance but its totally silent (on low).
How does this one compare to the zalman copper coolers?

I've had 2 of these so far. Good performance, and fairly quiet.
Only complaints I had are when I disassembled my PC for a good cleaning, The plastic cage on the fan snapped as I was putting it back on, so I had to buy another. Also, they are tough to get affixed to some motherboards if you have big hands like I do. The lower fins make it tough to get around the base if there are obstructions too close to the processor socket.

is there such a thing as silent (or near silent) h2o cooling?

Well #7, if you want silent liquid cooling you can give up the water and use something like mineral oil.

Or... just turn down the fan settings to low as previously stated.

Good cooler.
Have this on a Q6600 @ 3.2GHZ and it works great. It's a bit of a pain to install, but nothing too difficult if you've done this sort of thing before.

shit, you consider 35celsius safe?
I start to regret buying a cheap heatsink when my cpu goes over 30!

35 degrees Celcius on low speed settings I'm guessing. If you're scared then turn up the fan.

This is an excellent cooler - one of the best rated Delta T' - even comes with thermal paste applied.
One suggestion: dump the push pin connectors and use threaded screws for a positive connection with the Mother Board.
