#1, the specs vs price actually look pretty decent. What makes you call it crap, other than it being a fun word to say? The pic does make it look a bit flimsy.

Not bad, but the 7" screen probably suck like much 7" out there.

9" would be bettter.(That's what my Girlfriend said.)

looks like a good size to keep in the car/truck for traveling with a usb or bluetooth based gps. no dvd drive, though.

This is a rebadged everex cloudbook. the cloudbook reviews are mostly bad but I think the price is reflective of the quality of the product. IMHO, You're better off spending some 80 extra dollahs for the MSI wind.

Or 50-100 more for the ASUS eee pc I bought. Its 7 inch display is nice. I just wish it had more than the 512MB stock RAM and a bigger HDD but 4GB will get me by for docs, pics, music and traveling. I can also add storage via an SD card. I bought a 2GB stick of RAM for it, but so far the 512MB is running Linux well enough for me to not worry about it. If I switched to Windows I would swap the RAM for sure.

Hey c2nah does the ASUS run hot? How good is the battery life?

what your really better off doing is getting a used laptop in good condition. ive picked up a few still under warranty for half their retail price.

The MSI Wind is a nice machine for its size. I just built 3 of them for execs. Only bummer is it uses Realtek LAN/WLAN which isn't compatible with much more whan Wireless Zero.

I had an Asus EEE PC Surf 2GB, found it was unusable because of the 7" 800x480 display and 2GB drive. Changed to the MSI wind and happy with that.

Isn't a 7" screen just a tad small and hard to read even at 640x480?

Is CRYSIS still the most popular PC game of recent, or can you think of any other?
I'm gifting someone, so please let me know, is there a site which lists like TOP TEN games of recent for PC.
    THANKS

You can get some decent refurbished laptops at dfsdirectsales daught com

The Asus has decent screen size -not too hard to read and for an even smaller overall footprint than this one. The battery lasts at least 4 hours. It does not get real hot. Go to buy daughtcom or search here on BB for some Asus. Right now buy has the 8.9 inch scren Asus on sale for 400 range after a 100 rebate. I would jump on that if I did not already have my 7 inch.
