i know this is probably a bad idea here...but what is the policy on refurbs? how many dead pixles? retun policy? this deal seems really really good.

These appear to be sold out anyway, but if you happen to find one on buy,com, don't bother. What they can't (or don't) tell you is that this unit comes with only a 30 day warranty and they won;t sell an extended warranty on anything that doesn't come with at least a 3 month warranty. It took a day and a half and finally a phone call to sharp to learn that the warranty on this unit was on 30 day. Buy.com should be ashamed for not being upfront about this issue. I was able to cancel my order, but will probably never shop with them again. Also notice that have a link on the page for the extended warranty....what a scam!
