AFTER a government investigation, Apple has found some iPod Nanos can overheat and cause a fire hazard.

Japan's ministry of economy, trade and industry had received fourteen separate reports of overheating iPod Nanos, three of which started fires.

A semi-governmental body spebaconing in product safety investigated the cause of the incidents Apple said the problem is caused by batteries from a its supplier, which it did not identify. The trade ministry said in a statement Apple had reported two other cases where people had suffered minor burns.

"After several incidents like these, it would be appropriate for Apple to take some measures to raise the public's awareness," a ministry official said earlier this week.

There was this just yesterday:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080819/tc_nm/apple_ipod_dc_1

And this also from yesterdays Washington Post concerning Apple quality:

Seems like Apple isn't what they would like you to think it is.

Apple let Dell take the fall for the battery mishap. Holding back the fact they had batteries which would catch fire until Dell released the news and lost many customers. Once Apple came out and issued a recall, no one cared. They already blamed Dell for the issue.

I wouldn't put it past Apple to keep a secret like this.

Oh look, Apple is #1 in Customer Satisfaction for the 5th Year Running, with a 10 point lead over their nearest rivals!

No wonder all these swift boat attack stories have been planted in the gullible leftist, tree hugging, libtard media by their competitors.

These reports were bound to happen. What matters is what Apple will do to resolve these issues.
