Actually, I heard that Sony is going to charge soon as well. They need to do something to improve PSN.

I think from a "business" view, Sony messed up in not charging, by charging like xbox does, they have to maintain a certain level of hardware and stuff. Anyways, it's definitely worth it, common, Halo 3? can you say grifball?

No, Sony made a good decision in not charging. Many reasons:
1. It'll be a big selling point (Example: I want to play burnout online, but don't want to pay for online services == PS3 version of burnout wins)
2. "I already have xbox live subscription, why would I pay $$$ for a system that I don't even have gamerpoints on?"
3. No subscription fees means more players online (nearly 25% xbox owners do not have xbox live subscription == means that 25% potential online players will not participate in online matches). More players online == more popular platform.
4. PS3 is already expensive enough, adding online fees will definately scare away potential customers.

WOW.
where the hell are you getting your stats from #5????
3. There are currently 12 million xbox live suscribers as of May 14, 2008.
Worldwide xbox has sold over 19 million as of April 25, 2008.
25%? You douche. Try again. Your math sucks.
Now, please shut up and research a little better.
As for your other reasons...Your logic sucks and i don't even need to rip into those.

um, I wasn't counting the 5 million that got replaced due to red ring of death, but if you insist on those numbers:
12/19 = .63, SO 37% do not have xbox live subscription
did you not realize that you just proved my point even more?
try taking argument 101 in high school next year.
and you know those reasons are correct, that's why you can't rip on it.
try again. kthx

Microsoft doesn't count replacements as sales. silly little man. Still 19 million units SOLD.
Even if they didn't count them, that's 14 million units sold, and 5 million replaced....
12/14 = .85...bacon's still 15% don't have xbox live.
Gosh, what a MORON. Off by 10% even when i'm giving you the benefit of the doubt!
I'm disagreeing with your stats, not your view.
Your points are pathetic and are " your opinion."
If you would have taken "argument 101" you would know that opinion doesnt hold shit in an argument. All your points were your own opinion, and the fact that you misquote your stats proves that you have no clue what your talking about.
research, research, research ya douchebag.
kthx bye.

This is a good deal. I bought it since I was just about to renew in Sept. $40 for 13 months better than $50 for 12.
