y would you want to get a card that has such a high annual fee? I just found one at www.bacon.com without annual fee and great rewards. I got the blue cash card. I had this card but canceled it because of the annual fee.

#3, if it's not American Express, then it's not worth having. The high annual fees are to keep the riff-raff, such as yourself, away. *smirk*

Actually, the various perks for AmEx holders do add up. I pay $395/year for my AmEx Business Platinum.

Pay no attention to the pasty white thing behind the smirk.

They double the warranty on everything you buy, and they take care of disputes like no other card does also excellent customer service - and my gold card only costs $75 a year for two cards. I would not pay $125 a year though.

#5, just an FYI: your fee is about to go up to $450. Having (2) cards, I can honestly say they spew chunks. There are a lot of perks (especially on the Platinum), but NONE of them are worth $400 (or more). I've had (2) experiences now where I had documentation to back up a claim, and AMEX refused to honor their "perk" on my personal card, but had no problem making good on my business card. (BFD... I spent $400 on the fee to have them make good on a $200 monitor). AMEX is just glitz for the nitz. Fo shizzle, mah nizzle.

Not to mention they aren't accepted at a lot of places due to the high interchange associated with AMEX.
