I second that, I stopped my landline service awhile back otherwise I'd still be using my Panasonic!

I have this "system" ... and I think I bought it for $12 at the same store. It's worth about $2. Definitely a short range, and completely interferes with other devices.

This is a good buy if you have a base unit which can be expanded to a total of 4 handsets. I bought 2 more extension phones. Now my system is complete. I now have 1 base unit and 3 extensions. This is not a bad phone. It works everywhere in my house, upstairs, downstairs, garage, backyard an even on the driveway. Of course, this is also a discontinued system. If you want newer technology, frys.com has Panasonic DECT 6.0 system pretty cheap last couple of weeks.
