Hate it when Ben puts this laser pointer on here. Every time I see it, I think it's cool, but I don't need it. So I rationalize not to buy it. But this happens every time this green laser pointer is posted!

At a max of 5mW you won't be able to pop balloons. I think you need 12 - 15 mW to do that. But not a bad price for what it is.

I got one of these, and the button was mis aligned, and I broke it trying to fix it myself. the construction is not as good as the rubberized handle separates in the middle type i got on ebay for same price. It is way cool, but the wimps at my office complain it's too bright and hurts their eyes.

Since the green laser can damage eyes worse than the reds (or so I have read - please correct me if I am wrong), I wouldn't use it to play with cats.
It's a shame, because I grabbed a similar one recently, and my cats go nutzo over chasing the dot....
But it is really cool shooting it out my windows and seeing the dot on the tree leaves 20 yards into the back yard.

Another fun trick is turning off street light by aiming your laser pointer at the light sensor on top of the lamp.
Turns them off for about a min.

#1, I'm sooooo glad I'm not alone. I have a red laser that I don't use, but I so badly want this green laser so I can amuse myself with it for two or three minutes and then put it away, never to be used again.
