i have one. protected against a brownout the next day. display turns off and isn't too bright. one complaint-after 2 days, mine got LOUD. think of the electric hum coming from an exit sign in a building (barely audible) times 50. thinking of returning mine (got it ~1 month ago) to try again for a quieter one.

Paypal withdrew the 25% discount this morning 8/27. Must have been used too much. This per OfficeMax customer support.
Update: PayPal responded on 8/28 that they never offered discounts on OfficeMax purchases. I've sent an inquiry to OfficeMax for clarification.

These things are awesome regardless of brand. I have a Geeksquad version and am happy. Best thing so far, Tropical Storm Fay knocked out my power for 30 hours, I used this baby to run my portable tv, charge my cell phones, and kept my fish tank running. My co-worker plugged LED lights into his and lit up his house for the duration. Multipurpose life saver (not really a life saver but certainly a more comfortable life).
