That's at least 7 month gym membership and all you get is a pair of dumbbells.

I have had these for more than two years, and like them alot. However, if you are the type who likes to drop dumbbells, and go all workout macho. These are NOT for you. They certainly take up very little space compared to a full dumbbell set.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks $350 for dumbbells is expensive. I'd rather buy a PS3 with that, and just for the Blu-Ray player.

I have something simlar to these but made by a different brand. They're actually really useful for the typical home workout enthusiast. Purchasing individual dumbells from 5 to 50 pounds would not only take up a ton of space, but would cost way more than $350. That's why they price these so high, not because they cost $350 to make, but because the alternative would cost more. Anyways, for most people 50 lb per hand is enough. Obviously the more advanced weight lifter needs more.

Reebok makes something similar to this in a chrome finish. They can be had at Target for about sixty bucks a set. Actually very nice and much cheaper than these. I doubt most amateurs would notice any difference. Save yourselve's the $230.00 people.
