it will be $24.4 out of your pocket for a $35 meal.
$35*1.075*1.18-$25+$5=$24.4
still think it's a nice deal?

#2: What a cheapskate! Buddy: Bad News, Taxes and Tipping are a fact of life. If you can't deal with them, maybe you should go live in the woods.

#3, I'm not cheapskate. I'm just smart. The tax and tip are based your amount. You are so stupid to see the difference of GC and Coupon.

Uh, I don't really get the calculations. After tax and tips, that $35 meal will be more like $44.40:
$35*1.075*1.18=$44.40
Using that coupon takes $20 directly off the food cost so it's more like:
[ ($35-$25+$5) * 1.075 ] + ( $35*0.18 ) = $27.80
(tip has to be paid on original amount, tax on the discounted amount)
$35*1.075*1.18=$44.40

Thanks eightyhertz, you beat me to it
Meal & Tax: $35*1.075 = $37.63
Tip (20% assumption): $37.63*.2 = $7.53
Total all in meal cost: $37.63+$7.53 = $45.16
Net Coupon Savings = $25-$5 = $20
Final cost = $25.16
So to summarize, a meal that would have normally cost you $45.16 would now cost you $25.16 and the net coupon amount of $20 represents a 44.29% savings on your meal.
Now all you have to do is order exactly $35 worth of food without any drinks, in a city where the tax is 7.5%, leave a 20% tip, and you'll know exactly what your bill will be!
