GoDaddy.com has .COM domain registration on sale for $1.19 for the first year (regularly $10) with coupon code TEST99. They have good prices from a leading reputable registrar. If you've seen some of the other cheaper registrars, take note, as with many of them you don't actually own the domain you buy!

Take note, Godaddy is a good hosting provider. You can get cheap hosting. But they have some severely unethical practices like the cell phone bastard companies. Go just a hair over your storage or bandwidth agreement and they charge you insane amounts..
For example, my $6/mo hosting account had 10GB of storage. I went up to 10.7GB for a short time and they tried to charge me $8 per 100MB. So my bill was $58 more. Considering it was their fault (the moved my site from linux to windows hosting, and created a corrupt 6GB file that I had deleted from the linux host), I have to fight with them over it. They wouldn't budge until I told them I would be posting this email with a complaint to anandtech and tomshardware forums showing what a rip-off they were...
Godaddy thrives off nickle and diming people for crap.

been with Godaddy for over 3 years. Never once been had a "nickel and dime" issue.
As a matter of fact, with the abundance of coupon codes floating around, you cant go wrong.

#1 Really? Used Go Daddy for years for various products. Recently got 1 $149 refund for an unused SSL cert I didn't even know I had. At $1.19 I think I need to come up with some new domains.

The fine print in one of their front-page banners says "$1.19 with any add-on product"

#10 Read it again.. $1.99 for domain registration w/ any non-domain purchase. That has been a long standing deal with Godaddy...
