Picked this up from staples on BF several years ago for the fax function - been a solid fax machine. I was surprised at the color printing & esp the scanning. Bundled software really added a lot, least for the windows side, actually use that occasionally w/o the machine on. Good document handling, have put 100 page documents through this by adding pages during scanning, and it will deal with d/s pages if you dig into the config menus.
This is a REAL ink sucker however, there is a cleaning function that seems to run every so often to keep the cartridge from clogging - so it uses ink even if you don't print. I run it w/ MT cartridges most of the time, although you can get a full set of refilled cartridges (b/w+color) for around $10 from meritline. And I'll just turn it off when not needing it to save ink.
You can also find the refurb for $10 less at frys w/o the rebate.
