I am a computer technician, the lesson I learned from last 12 years of experiences taught me one thing, use antec instead any other brand of power supplies. usually, power supply can only last around 2 years(depends on their brand) then your ps's voltage output stated to getting either higher or lower a little bit(may or may not cause devices failure right the way,but not good for the long run), but antec can hold up to 5 years without any problem. GET THIS DEAL BEFORE IT'S GONE, IT WORTH EVERY PENNY OF $90, NOW YOU EVEN GET COUPON FOR IT!!!!

also, use antec? over every other power supply brand? You seem to forget that there are other brands out, like Ultra, PC P&C, OCZ, Corsair, Cooler Master, etc... All of the manufacturers that I listed there make some power supplies that are better than this Antec Basiq, and other Antec models.
For that matter, this isn't even the worst power supply that Antec sells. Did you know that the Antec SmartPower 2.0 power supplies had a failure rate of over 25%?
In fact, back a few years ago antec power supplies were well known for having a tendency to fail after a year or two. Why? Antec put cheap, low quality capacitors in their power supplies, which failed after a relatively short amount of time.
I haven't seen an Antec power supply zealot (like you) in months. I remember back about a year or two ago, I encountered a couple, but they disappeared quickly, perhaps as a result of being shown that antec power supplies are not as good as they thought.

However, it's nothing special at this price. The Rosewill Xtreme 850watt power supply was on sale for $50 at newegg a little while ago. The OCZ StealthXStream 600watt power supply(which can actually put out 728watts of power, according to testing at hardware secrets) was recently on sale for $40 on newegg. Either one of those power supplies put out a lot more power than this antec one, and are better, and were on sale for cheaper.

Thanks #2, i have to admit my experiences were based on only few types of antec(company usually buy whole bunch of them at once), so my experience was limited by few types of good antec(got lucky?)ps, I knew there are lot of other good ps brand out there, but from the midrange(again, my company only buy midrange ps), antec does give good ps, companies such as ocz and crosair are new player in this area so i haven't try them yet. In conclustion, what i'm saying is if ppl not sure what ps to buy with their budget in midrange ps, antec should aways be a good choise.
