Note that these are "refurbished 3rd generation".
That means they have been returned three times, stuck back in a box and put on the shelf for resale.

#1 - It just means it's the third version of the nano, not that it's the third time it was sold...

Sorry #1. Apple gives these new batteries, screens, cases, and accessories when you buy refurbished from them.

Buy.com however you get what you described.

Im sick of iPod. They have purposely re-engineered these to make themn even less compatible with Linux than before and when the battery wears out then you are screwed because the battery on an iPod cannot be changed by an end-user.

And now all the iPod docks make sure your battery dies as soon as possible. How is this you ask? They "top-off" the battery by constantly charging it when ever on the cradle thereby ensuring that your Ipod battery gets "worn out".

Its a damn conspiracy. Fight back and quit buying Apple's products. My oily fingerprints will never decorate the aluminum backing of an iPod again!

Wait, I must retract my prior post as I see now according to Apple's support website that leaving the battery on the charger all day will not cause any harm.

But I dont know if you can trust them. Anyone else ever had an iPod with a battery that wont hold a charge anymore?
