This camera was just released. It's $299 pretty much everywhere else.
Also, it's made by Canon, which is by far the most superior camera maker in the entire history of the Universe.

Yep the other canons will come down in price. Also this is not HD and according to CC it doesn't have a movie mode. If that's true this is a bad one.

Canon makes great cameras but they are really falling behind the other camera manufactures, like Panasonic, who put a bigger lens, wider angle, and more optical zoom. More megapixels won't do you any good if you can't see the object.

One Word, Fujifilm FinePix F31fd....6 MP Camera that sells on ebay for over $350.00. So Canon is not the "best" camera out there. I had an 850IS and my older Sony P-200 had better picture quality.

#4 - what do you mean this is not HD? How can a digital camera NOT be HD? 1080p (1920x1080) is about 2 megapixels ... digital cameras have exceeded 2 megapixels for over a decade
