Don't the prev. generation readers support SDHC also? I have one with a slower speed SD card in it, and wanted to upgrade the card, but this makes it seem like I would also need to upgrade the reader adapter.

    Here is how they count 8: SD/SDHC/Ultrall SD/Extreme SD/Extreme III/mini SD (need adapter)/MMC/RS-MMC/MMCII/RS-MMC/T-Flash(need adapter).

#1, SDHC is not necessarily compatible with older SD readers, though some readers may be firmware-upgradeable to support SDHC. I have a multi-card reader that doesn't support SDHC and also have a 1-year-old SD-to-USB adapter (similar but older than the one in Ben's hot deal) and it doesn't support SDHC, either. I bought a Sandisk Micromate SD/SDHC reader/writer a couple of weeks ago and it does, indeed, work with my Class-6 SDHC card.

Meritline is a solid company though, so cheap and they send your stuff FAST. I did the free shipping on a Sunday night and had the product by Wednesday

#6.. they do send your stuff fast, however, they don't really wrap it well. It seems like they just wrap things in cheap plastic wrapper and send them out.

I own this and it works fine, though it draws too much power from my USB port (it makes my USB mouse shut off). If I attach it to a port on my PCMCIA USB card, I can operate both the mouse and card reader at the same time. Also, I bought this earlier this month from ledshoppe.com brand new for $3 and free shipping.
