Restaurant.com is offering 80% off their certificates with coupon code SAVE [Exp 3/14]. This reduces the price of their $25 Dining Certificates to $2 for most restaurants and areas. $25 Gift Cards are $3 with the code. Fine print applies, such as $35 minimum, dinner only, etc.
For those who are purchasing these Restaurant.com certificates. Be careful and read all the terms and conditions before purchasing. I bought these and found out... 1) Limited selection on restaurants 2) Most of the restaurants have minimum purhcase before the gift card can be applied 3) Most of the restaurants - you can only dine in on weekdays 4) They take crazy gratuity and that can not be applied to on the gift
so over all they are simply trying to get you to the restraurant and then you still end up paying for the food.
yeah be sure to look up and find a restaurant you want before buying the coupon. I think it's a really great deal if I can go, but restaurant choice is so limited and so many restrictions on using the coupon.
I use them regularly at a couple of my favorite restaurants, and have saved a boatload of money over the years. If you consider an 18% tip as 'crazy', then please stick to KFC and McDonalds where you belong.

An AUTOMATIC 18% tip IS crazy.
A tip should always be based on the service you receive. I have no qualms about tipping almost nothing for bad service or more than 18% for really good service, keeping in mind that if someone is too busy they can't do magic but at the same time if they are serving a lot of tables they are getting more pay, more tips per hour.
Also, this is unskilled labor, why shouldn't the KFC employee get tipped equally since their take home pay ends up being less, merely because their labor towards your meal wasn't carrying the food to your table? It's a double standard.

If this wasn't the case then everyone would always use the coupons so restaurants might as well just avoid the middleman (restaurants.com) and charge less, which we know won't happen.
I've been using these for years and they really are a good deal if you follow the rules. Which basically amounts to meeting the minimum purchase. Picture this, you can get a $25 off coupon for like $3. You order $35 worth of food and drinks - the $25 off coupon = $10. $35 x 18% tip = $6.30. So for $16.30 plus about $3 for the coupon = $19.30 and you got $35 worth of food. Normally if you ordered $35 in food, plus tax and a reasonable tip, you would be at around $45. So its less than half price. I even search by zip code when we travel and use them on vacations. Headed to Myrtle Beach in a couple weeks and found 50 restaurants within 5 miles of the resort we are staying at. Can't beat that.
Yeah, I agree with the value. The restrictions really aren't that bad. Most of the restaurants in my area don't have day restrictions just amount and sometimes tip. I would have spent that much money and tipped anyways, so it's still $23 off. As far as restaurant availability, it's hit or miss depending on where you are but they do have quite a few participating restaurants.

THESE WORK EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED. If you expected something else then you did not read carefully.
