Restaurant.com has 80% off their coupons with coupon code PRESENT [Exp 6/15]. This has reduced the price of their $25 Dining Certificates to just $2 for most restaurants and areas. Fine print applies for many of the certificates, such as minimum 4 entrees, etc.

$25 for $2... In for one... We'll see what kind of restrictions the resturant puts on it...

It's best to check with the restaurant before you get a GC from Restaurants.com. I've purchased GCs, then been told that I can't use them once I get to the place - they "don't honor those"...umm, then take your restaurant off the web site!!!!!

Thanks for the tip #2... Did restuarants.com give you a refund? Probably not worth the trouble for $2...

As long as there are restaurants near you. Saving money is a good thing.

I havnt had any problem as long as you follow ALL the fine print. What got me is I couldn't order the restaurants "special" of the night because they sometimes can't be combined with other discounts. This is seen and a "discount" and not a GC.

#2 I had a same problem, but I talked to the manager of the restaurant and argued for about 15 minutes. They honored it, but I would never go back to that restaurant! Anyway, other than that, I never had problems with restaurant.com coupons.

No ripoff, some restaurant owners try to back out of their agreement. Restaurant.com will give you a "super coupon" (credit) for another certificate if you had a problem. They way these coupons work is the restaurant owner gets a loan from restaurant.com, then pays it back with sales minus the coupon value.

I've had great experiences with these. Unfortunately, every time I check the site it seems that less and less restaurants are offering them.

I've never had any trouble. I've done several of these you just have to follow the rules on the certificates. I've found taking more than 2 people helps get you over the $35 minimum that most of them seem to have.

Seems like a good deal even if it only works half the time. I'm in for one. Question for the more experienced: do you ask before you order if it works or do you risk it and just throw it in with the check?
