is this a good deal? also i am planning on putting it in the Antec MX-1 USB 2.0 SATA Actively Cooled Hard Drive Enclosure that I picked up (the Antec accepts a 3.5 drive)
thanks

The price is actually $68.99 on their site and the same drive is $69.99 from Newegg. I would rather pay about $11 more for a 640GB from Newegg.

There have been two 500GB SATA for $50 deals in the past few weeks, so I'd say no deal. The last was at Staples. Before that there was a Hitachi at newegg. Those are gone, but I expect more.

I don't trust this GoHardDrive yet... they "also" sell no name hard drives. I bet some "seagate" are no name with new labels.

I agree with #2. The 640GB Western Digital hard drives get great reviews. Anything is better than the clicking, hot running Seagate hard drives.

Not much of a deal. Just picked up TWO 500 GB Maxtors from Staples for $75 shipped. Check Phat Wallit (purposely misspelled to avoid Bhen's filter) for better HDD deals

#6 is one of those stupid douches who get one bad drive and swear off the manufacturer for life.

#9 True.. try the 32mb is pretty fast, I bought one last week, for $90 buck shiped. Now, is $80 bucks. 86% 5 eggs feedback is pretty good, I have check out all the 32mb. could of bought the 1TB for 20bucks more, but the fail ratio is very, very nice on this drive under 5%. I'am running Vista Ultimate 32bit, AMD BE-2300 OC to 3.0ghz. Performance test on CPU 5.6 and The Seagate is 5.9 Oh!.. come's with 5 years warrantee also, not that I need it, but is comforting to know..
