There's a different between ext drive and MS drive(which show up as Memory device). MS make a distinction between them so they can sell a 20GB for $100 which we won't even buy for $10.
Their drive is sign by MS and w/o that memory device signature you can't download(save) trial/demo from the market place. Heck you can't save game on it-although you can can transfer save game to it. Any kind of DRM stuff on it and you can pretty much count on the 360 not going to do.

People reported that DRM music bought on Zune market place won't play ect...so forget about all others DRM.

They make it sound like the update play everything but they're so many restictions (and you have ton sign in Live to play those since the updates are treated and protected like a game...what the MS!!@!)

Well, that MS for you, keeping you wanting more and more to upgrade so everything is half-baked. They even force people to upgrade like the case with Vista which people simply refused. MS tried to cut the XP alternative from top manufacturers but people keep coming around.

They also over done it with mobile phone (or may be they just incapable of proving a good product)so after so many versions of Window-mobile-phone its seem mobile-phone is an impossibility until Apple showed up with Iphone version 1 and it now seem mobilephone IS the future.

Me? I owned 2 xbox360 and I want to love them but there's always seem like things that I want to do is impossible. I also have 4 window mobilephones which dated back from more than 5 years and now own an Iphone.

No wonder so many thing that MS put their hand on go are went on distinction.

#10 I don't know what window mobile phones your got, but my tilt or Diamond(both from HTC) is a lot better than the iphone except for the dual touch feature and the larger screen. iphone is just a fancy phone. there are a lot of limitations on iphone. Lots of very simple features you can't do it or it's very difficult(like take tons of extra steps) to do it on iphone . I don't know if you notice it, e.g transfering files via bluetooth. I think iphone is not that practical. but as a toy, it's a very good.
Anyway, Just a comment, nothing offensive.

The arcade games included aren't worth a crap and not having hard drive is a severe limitation. But I guess it's a good price for a starter system.

    #11,

My latest is the Sprint Touch also from HTC (between your Tilt and the Diamond)-the wife still keep it but I heard her complaints almost every single day with lot of reset compare to my loaded iphone with tons of unsupported apps, beta apps .... it only hang a few times since last year and suprisingly the couple time it hang was due to Itune? The Touch keep hanging for no good reason. Lost lot of calls. hard to use. Dialer is terrible due to the small screen. All this after decade of development and 6 versions later... which lead to my point how can a startup first version phone trumped Window mobille phone edition!

Yeah, I updated it to include GPS and all the good stuff but most of the time you got to use the stylus very annoying
