"Free with activation" means you're signing up to do two years with AT&T. Definitely NOT a deal.

But don't all carriers do the same? otherwise you'd be paying full price for the phone without a contract!
The LG Vu may not be an iPhone killer but in my book it is due to 2 major things:
1) price
2) replaceable battery!! - what happens when the iPhone battery stops holding a charge?!?!?
