Don't buy this!!! I have it and it failed before a year old. If you look at forums this has a problem where it stops loading DVDs or freezes up.

This is not a deal at all... I need to get my dad a portable dvd player for Christmas since he broke the last one I gave him. Seems like this is the best of the bunch except for maybe the Panasonic LS-86. The resolution supposed to make this better.
Any recommendations reminvestor? My dad loved the 2 year old panasonic I got him before, but it suddenly stopped spinning the discs.
