What do you think, would this make a decent monitor?

Excellent computer monitor as it is 1 of the smallest form factor 32" LCDs out there. I bought this when it was $555 from 6ave a couple weeks ago and also bought the twin of this TV from Wal-Mart for $647 (both for bedrooms). It's a nice TV with the following 2 caveats:
    1. The tuners in them aren't the best - the video tends to be behind the audio on a lot of channels. If you use a separate tuner or as a computer monitor then this is obviously not an issue.
    2. The 44U model here has an annoying glitch with the audio where if the signal isn't a consistent stereo or mono signal it will CONTINUALLY show the on-screen display for the channel to indicate the audio has switched from mono to stereo or vice versa. There is no way to make the retarded on-screen display go away when this happens. I've only seen it happen with the 44U model and not the 32U model from Wal-Mart, even though they seem to be identical TVs outside of the model number and the 44U having "aquos" on the panel face.

This is pretty low resolution for a 32" screen if you intend to use it as a monitor. Consider that something like the Dell 3008WFP 30" LCD has a resolution of 2560x1600. This is only 1366 x 768. While this is more than fine for most television viewers, you will suffer greatly if you're expecting an ultra-fine display for use as a PC monitor.

agreed. 720p isn't all that hot for monitor usage on a 32inch tv... i know because i've tried. =\
