mwave is a california company. good place. I've bought a lot from them locally and had shipped. I've never had a problem with mwave. I can't say anything for goharddrive though.

No rebates should be needed. If they can afford to offer the rebate, they can afford to sell it directly at that price.

no, that's incorrect. On any given rebate deal, some percentage of people will forget to send the rebate in. Therefore, the people who remember to send the rebate in get a great deal, and the people who forget will help cover the loss(or increase the profit to normal levels) incurred by selling it with a rebate at a really low price.
