Well, I think the credit comes 8-12 weeks later, but I have heard that it does. I am thinking about it. YOu are still gonna spend $400, but I guess you can use the credit to buy 3 additional controllers once it does come through... so you effectively get PS3 + 4 controllers for $400.

I think this console come with a vibrating dual shock 3 controller, not the older SixAxis controller

this DOES NOT WORK....I got screwed on opening a new credit account and still a hassle to get back the dough after buying things I didn't need. Besides the PS3, I am not a Sony fan so everything else is worthless other than games and accessories for the PS3.

I got on this deal. I got the instant approval but they didn't give me the CC number, I called and ask but they refuse to give me the number over the phone, so I I asked them what they can do and they express overnight the card to me, took 2,3 days for me to get the card. I did get the $150 off

I got my PS3 using Sony Style. I signed up for the credit card on their site, got approved and got it in the mail. Once it came, bought the PS3 from the site. PS3 was delivered to my door. I'm almost positive the first statement that came had the $100 credit on it (I only got the $100 credit, its $150 now). I paid the remaining balance off and closed the card a month later.

I did the exact same thing as #6 without an issue.

Yes I did this a few weeks ago and got my PS3 for retail price. The deal then was $100 off, but I recently got my CC and checked online and saw a $150 credit on my account, so it does work and the credit comes in time--at least it worked for me.

I did it back in the $100 days and got the credit on the card within a few days, no hassle at all.

I did get my credit card number instantly. But it was a long time before I found an MGS package in stock.

I opened the card and got the credit a while ago too. People say they've done it multiple times and it worked.

Just a reminder regarding credit cards, if you do this option DO NOT CANCEL THE ACCOUNT! Especially with what is going on with the credit market, whenever you apply for a credit card your credit score affected and whenever you close an account it is affected negatively. Just pay the balance and put the card away.

Worked for me too. The $150 credit had already been applied to the balance by the time I got the bill. I also used $80 of my Discover card rewards to get a $100 Sonystyle coupon bringing the price down to $150.00

If you have solid credit and are looking to buy a PS3, this is a great opportunity. The price certainly won't drop $150 any time soon.

Like #5 I did not sign up at the right web page so no number was sent to my email. Called CS and they send card express and arrived 2 days later. I used it in a SonyStyle store and immediately within a week login my new account online and saw the $100 credit; thus my $399 - $100 = $299 (+ tax) account ballance.

WARNING!!! do not send your minimum monthly payment 1 day late because they will cancel the 12 months SAC promotion and your ballance is due immediately, plus late fee.

Add another success. I was approved instantly, got my temporary card info instantly. The PS3 came right away, and the $150 was reflected on the first statement. I got the $150 offer, the next day it was $100, thought I was pretty lucky. This was about a month ago or so, the first statement came just a few days ago. Nice system, mainly got for blu-ray (figured why just get a regular player), but I guess I'm playing video games again after a 10 year break (Motorstorm $12 shipped on feebay). I checked my credit score after getting the card, it was still about 800, so I'm not too worried about that. Don't know how much it would have dropped it because I didn't check it before.

it might be better to get a ps3 for 400 or cheaper on ebay and just use the ms 30% cashback rebate. just get one with free shipping and no tax. as long as it's a newer 80gb with dual shock and you'll be fine.

The price of this product is all well and good, but what has it done lately for Joe the Plumber? If Joe purchases it at this price, will that put him one step closer to his own personal American Dream? That's what we have to ask ourselves in the coming weeks.

under obamas plan he will cut sony style rebates for all americans to $50. why would you cut rebates in times like this? he wants to spread the rebate wealth around and it is fundamental difference between my plan and his.
