Predict Black Friday deals at $99 for Blu-Ray players. Retailers are going to be struggling and they will need some great or crazy deals to get people to come in.

Most predict that Blu-Ray's flame is only going to burn for 5 years or so before downloads and other tech takes over. They better start dropping these prices fast in order to create a customer base before people figure out better alternatives are coming.

#7: Don't hold your breath for download. Internet providers are already screaming of the high bandwidth usage of movies downloads.
Second, you don't get high definition audio and bonus materials. Sure it's possible to add that to download but that also increases the bandwidth usage that Internet providers already hate.

I don't think I can hold my breath for 5+ years! It's not going to be like CD's or DVD's. Technology is moving much faster these days and that's not going to slow down. I have faith that those who will profit from it will figure out how to give us a FAT download pipe

ISPs are screaming about people hogging upstream bandwidth for file sharing. If content providers could supply high bandwidth movies in a legal and usable form I'm sure the ISPs would be happy to sell us a bigger pipe.
