Boo for refurbished items, but does anyone know if this is a good brand?

I really would like a GPS but I am spooked about the almost never ending supply of "Refurbished" units. This like stuff made by Phillips never seems to run out (of refurbs). Makes one question their quality

this is a pretty decent unit.
i have it, reality view is about 95-98% accurate
lifetime FREE traffic reports (works better in city areas)
    battery life does suck though.

overall - i'm happy with it.

Don't buy it. Not because it is a refurbished but because of the GPS itself. Real time traffic is not the issue. Like #3 said, battery life sucks, really sucks. The user interface is of Navigon is bad. Though it is a 4.3" screen, the on-screen keyboard is smaller than the one of the Garmin Nuvi 360 which a 3.5" screen, making hard to type. Compare to Garmin Nuvi or Magellan Maestro series, Navigon route calculation is much slower. In short, not the GPS I want to buy.

i bought a refurb Invion GPS unit and it works fine... so refurb shouldn't be an issue

can be hacked to use several WIN-CE based GPS programs.
