this is a pretty good buy...
this may be a better deal than the current HP HDX16...if you don't NEED the blew-ray player

Does this beast have a webcam? It looks like it in the pics but I don't see it listed in the specs.

it does have the webcam. #4, could you elaborate on not being able to add the ATI HD 3470 card?
i was recommending this deal to my brother and his wife and thought they'd be able to configure it that way.

i tried adding the card and when you continue the ordering process it says one of the items is not available - the card is the only thing i added.

Ok, here is what it says if you try and just add the graphics card: One or more of the items in your configuration is Out of Stock.
However, if you add the graphics card AND the upgraded screen (+100) - it works.

that's really lame...is that card not cabale of driving the 1600 x 900 resolution but the intel integrated graphics (4500) is? I think I'm going to call them (Sony) and press the issue a little--I know, wish me luck.
