Well, maybe the cards are optimized for writing large files, and they can only rate them a class 4 since the writing of small files is much slower.

#4 a 2 hour DVD movie requires less memory and the LACK of artifacts is amazing. If you are referring to a 1080P camcorder, then you probably need more memory and speed. That being said, I think it's a marketing ploy.
