If you unlock it, yes.

#1, you will need to unlock it first, but can be done very easy.

How exactly does pre-paid plan work?

I have a tmobile account already but want a spare phone.

Can i just buy this as a spare phone?

#3 Mr. Webman,

Do you have unlock instructions or tell me where can I find one? Thanks in advance.

I have one of these on AT&T just to answer the question. I would not recommend this for the camera capabilities. Otherwise, good phone and only phone.

Yea, only 640x480 res for the Camera, which is pretty sad for these day and age. For unlocking, you can buy an unlock sim card which cost around 7 bucks at dealextreme.com.

Quite a good deal if you're in the market for one of these phones. And I can also recommend T-Mobile's prepaid plan. (If they don't serve your area, try Virgin Mobile.)

#6, assuming this is the original V3 model: http://modmymoto.com/wiki/index.php/Razr_v3_Free_Unlock

Great deal! This is new, not refurbished. Comes to $35 with the included $25 refill card. Unheard of. Obviously T-Mobile hopes that you will stay with them, however there is no contract involved, and this is an easy phone to unlock.

This is the newer version of the V3, with better reception and volume than the earlier version. The camera is only 1.3 MP, so if you're looking for a great digital camera, look elsewhere.

#10, thanks for the link-that is one of the simplest ones I've seen.

throw in your AT&T sim for a cheap backup phone, and ditch your insurance!
