I have a previous version of this receiver and I doubt this one would be any different: Onkyo makes decent receivers but make sure you place it in a well ventilated place as it gets pretty warm with usage (don't put it in a closet or stack other components on top of it) might be OK for a few years but HEAT is electronics' first enemy...

Had a similar Onkyo model that just started smoking and died after 6 months of use. The warranty wants me to pay for shipping to their service center so they can then decide if they will replace it or not. Just my 2 cents.
