Spend the extra money for the Canon Vixia HF100. Then you will be covered for HD. Everything will be HD in a few years, so you might as well do it now. Do you watch alot of VHS movies?

The extra money #1 talks about is almost $450!!!! It's like saying buy the Mercedes instead of the Toyota! Not everyone needs a Mercedes at 4 times the price!

why not use sony's credit card deal and get $150 off $300? sony's been in the camcorder market a lot longer too
