Just make sure you have enough room to plug it in around your cup holders. It also makes an annoying hum for the person you're calling if you happen to plug your cell while talking.

picked up one of these from buy.com even cheaper last year.. not the same model.. no noise, works great.. really nice to have for long trips

#2 that hum is the gnome inside the dash of most modern cars now. He/She hums a tune that gets picked up by this device. If you ask nicely, he will stop while you make your calls.

How durable is this thing? I had a VR one that broke while I was on a trip.

These actually work pretty well. Make sure to order one that works with your favorite auto appliances, like the dishwasher or perhaps the Kitchen Aid mixer. Very good deal.

Are there any chances that this will do damage to a car? I have reservations about increasing the power of a cigarette lighter, but I also don't know anybody that uses these.
