A comment on the meritline website leads me to believe this is for a 17" laptop, n'est pas?

I bought this same notebook fan cooler for my Dell XPS M1330 but in black, I have tried using the usb ports, they do not work. My mouse, keyboard and all other usb items do not detect correctly in windows xp or vista ultimate. i get a little pop up that says "usb device not recognized" All i use it for is to charge my mp3 player, and cell phone now.

Great cooler, but bad USB ports

I think some cooler need more power that is why they are not working properly. My experience with Antec is pretty good. The last time on sale in Frys only cost 5 bucks.

I have an Inspiron 5100 which gets hot enough to cook on. Anyone know if the fan sucks or blows. Anyone have an opinion on which is better? Right now I have a little fan that is pointed at the intake for when I play games.

Why not just get some feet to elevate the back of your laptop? Fans are rarely necessary, extra space usually does the trick.
